Verizon offering Sapphire Blue Ballistic Nylon version of Droid Turbo

Verizon announced the Motorola Droid Turbo in Sapphire Blue Ballistic Nylon earlier today. It can be purchased online or in stores for $ 199.99 on a two-year contract or $ 24.99 a month for 24 months on Verizon Edge.

Also of note: customers will receive a $ 100 bill credit with every new smartphone activated on Verizon Edge. This also applies to trade-ins of decently functional, old smartphones for the purchase of a Droid Turbo.

Droid Turbo now available in Sapphire Blue Ballistic Nylon at Verizon stores

Best Buy will no longer be the only location to carry the Sapphire Blue Ballistic Nylon version of the Motorola Droid Turbo.

Corning’s ‘Project Phire’ takes on sapphire with super scratch-resistant, durable displays

It looks like displays on future Android phones are about to get a while lot more resistant to scratches. Corning announced today that it is working on a new type of glass for screens that is almost as scratch-resistant as sapphire displays (such as that on the Kyocera Brigadier), while retaining the durability of its Gorilla Glass.
