When a convenience turns into a concern, we get mad.

The Google Pixel 2‘s fingerprint sensor is in a perfect place to effortlessly use. But what happens when you put your finger there and it just … doesn’t work? After a few attempts of the sensor not recognizing your fingerprint, the software actually fails out and requires you to enter your passcode to get past the lock screen or password to enter a secure app. That’s not fun —  [Read More…]

Moto E5 appears in render with rear fingerprint sensor

Our first look at the Moto E5 shows a lot of similarities to the E4, but that’s not a bad thing.

Of all the phones Motorola released in 2017, one that stood out the most was the Moto E4. The E4 might have been the least powerful of the bunch, but for its retail price of $ 129, it performed way above what we usually expect to see from something so cheap.

The very first render of  [Read More…]

Google is aware of the issue and actively looking into it.

Android 8.1 started rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices at the beginning of December, and while I’ve been enjoying the update without any issues, this hasn’t been the case for everyone.

Shortly after 8.1 started getting pushed out, some owners of the Pixel 2 XL took to Google’s official support forum to complain about a slowdown with the phone’s fingerprint sensor performance on 8.1 compared to 8.0.
