Moto G5S Plus coming to the U.S. Sept 29 for $230

The best of Motorola’s mid-range product line is coming to the U.S. at the end of September.

Back in August, Motorola quietly unveiled revamped “special edition” versions of its popular Moto G5 and G5 Plus smartphones, aptly titled Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus.

Today, the larger and more expensive of those two phones goes up for pre-order at a number of U.S. retailers prior to its release September 29.

Nexus 6P likely to receive Android Oreo on Sept. 11

The last Nexus might see its last OS upgrade in just a few days.

According to Canadian carrier Rogers’ OS Upgrade Schedule, Android Oreo for the Nexus 6P will be released on September 11.

Samsung’s Milk Music service ends for U.S. customers on Sept. 22

Fans and customers of the Milk Music service from Samsung have some bad news coming. As rumored, the service will be ended for customers in the US on September 22, 2016.

A press release from Samsung’s Newsroom says that the company has changed direction and has a plan to provide “the best music services available” across their Galaxy line.

Google to host its first Play Indie Games Festival on Sept. 24 in San Francisco

Google has announced that in September the company will hold its first Google Play Indie Games Festival in San Francisco. The event is aimed at showcasing recent and upcoming releases of top indie games in front of consumers and industry influencers and give them the chance to try them out. This will allow the indie developers an opportunity to expand their networks, gain real-time feedback and improve discoverability in Google Play for their app.

Need For Speed No Limits finally ready to race onto Android Sept. 30

Fans of racing games on smartphones have been waiting for Electronic Arts to launch their long-awaited game Need for Speed: No Limits. On September 30, the wait will be over as the free-to-play game will go live worldwide on Android.

HTC to launch updated One M9+ and Butterfly 3 at Sept. 29th event

If you were disappointed to hear that the promising HTC A9 (Aero) will end up being a modest midranger rather than beastly flagship, you may like today’s news a little better.  It seems that HTC has a couple more smartphones up its sleeves for the Sept. 29th event.

The tip comes from an HTC-focused ROM developer on Twitter, @LlabTooFeR.  Not much is shared, only that we should expect updates to two well-known HTC flagships:  the Butterfly 3 and HTC One M9+.
