HTC Vivid

HTC has updated their Developer site’s bootloader unlock page, and the news is good:

All HTC Android devices launched after September 2011 are unlockable. The website will be updated accordingly to reflect this in the coming weeks. We continue to work on models launched prior to September 2011, please check back often for the status of older devices.

Verizon announced a new Android 2.3-powered handset today, tapping the LG Enlighten with a $ 79.99 price tag and a September 29th launch date.  Features for the entry level device include an 800MHz processor, 3.2-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera, and full-sized sliding QWERTY keyboard.  Given the build of Android, the Enlighten also offers support for 3G Mobile Hotspot and Flash 10, widgets, and all that other fun stuff.  Additional hardware  [Read More...]

At their event in New York City this morning, HTC announced the mid-range HTC Rhyme, which will launch on Verizon Wireless September 29th for $ 199. The HTC Rhyme is the official name for the HTC Bliss, and the Rhyme is certainly largely targeting the ladies out there. The Rhyme comes in a Plum color, inspired by a suite of applications and wallpapers designed by the HTC team.

Verizon has officially announced the HTC Rhyme today, an Android smart phone which obviously caters to the female crowd.
