Xiaomi ships 23.16 million smartphones in Q2 2017, an uptick of 70% from Q1

Xiaomi sees record shipments in Q2 2017 as YoY revenues from India climb 328%.

Xiaomi announced that it shipped 23.16 million smartphones in Q2 2017, making it the best quarter ever for the Chinese company. The company faced a slowdown in sales last year over supply constraints, with CEO Lei Jun announcing a series of broad changes at the end of last year. Lenovo ships 14 million smartphones in Q2, Moto brand sees 40% surge

Lenovo has posted its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2016 (second fiscal quarter). The company announced a net profit of $ 157 million, a turnaround from the $ 842 million loss resulting from restructuring efforts in Q2 2015. Overall revenue was $ 11.2 billion, an 8% YoY decrease but an increase of 12% from the previous quarter.

Lenovo shipped 14 million phones in the quarter, resulting in a 25% increase from Q1 2015.  [Read More…]

Samsung ships 10 million Galaxy S6 units within a month of launch

Samsung’s latest flagship models, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, are selling like hotcakes as the Korean conglomerate confirmed having shipped more than 10 million units worldwide within a month of its release.

“The sales of the Galaxy S6 series have already surpassed 10 million,” a top-notch Samsung official was quoted by the Korean Herald as saying.
