LG’s budget K10 to make its debut in South Korea on January 14

LG unveiled its latest budget offerings — the K7 and K10 — at CES 2016, and the manufacturer is now slated to launch the K10 in South Korea later this week. The phone will cost 200,000 won ($ 165) in the country, and will be available for purchase starting January 14.

LG has commenced rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the LG G4 in its home country of South Korea. Phones with model numbers LG-F500K, LG-F500L, and LG-F500S are now receiving the update.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ head to South Korea

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ in South Korea, with the launch coinciding with the debut of Samsung Pay in the country. The developer tablet for “Project Tango” went on sale in the US via Google Store without an invite for the first time in May. Now the company has expanded sales of the tablet to two more countries, Canada and South Korea, with more countries joining in later in August.

Samsung’s ultra-thin Galaxy A8 heads to South Korea

Samsung introduced its thinnest smartphone yet — the 5.9mm thick Galaxy A8 — in China earlier this month, and has now launched the handset in its home market. The Galaxy A8 will be available starting July 24 from SK Telecom for 649,000 Korean Won ($ 563), with white and gold color options on offer.

Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man edition is now official, launches in South Korea May 27

After teasing the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man edition, Samsung has launched the device in South Korea. The phone features a red color scheme with gold accents, and comes with a wireless charger fashioned in the form of an Arc Reactor.

Dubbed the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition, the device offers 64GB internal storage and will launch in South Korea on May 27, with 1,000 units up for grabs.

The Samsug Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850) is now receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop in South Korea. Major carriers have given the green light to commence the update roll out to handsets in the region.

LG to offer free screen replacement and 64GB memory card with LG G4 in South Korea

LG’s offer for a one-time screen replacement and a 64GB memory card is valid for up to a year after purchasing the device in South Korea. The offer is exclusive just to that country. Specifically, it is valid until May 31, which may mean that the G4 will be launched immediately after its unveiling on April 28.
