You can now stream Spotify through your Sonos system

3.0 update brings minor changes to Spotify

Spotify rumored to enter the video business, holding press event on May 20

The popular music streaming service Spotify could be planning an expansion into original video content, as the company announces a press event on May 20.

The report comes from the Wall Street Journal, claiming that Spotify’s video service will be available to subscribers and non-subscribers.

ROCKI finally gets Spotify Connect support

After a long wait, Spotify support has finally come to ROCKI, but not quite how you would have expected. The tiny device that turns your ordinary speakers into DLNA compatible outputs launched with the promise of Spotify integration but it failed to appear in the app.

Sony teams with Spotify for new streaming service to replace Music Unlimited

Sony is teaming up with Spotify to launch PlayStation Music, a new streaming music service coming in spring 2015. The service will replace Music Unlimited, which will shut down everywhere that it is currently available on March 29, 2015. Beginning Feb. 28, current active Music Unlimited subscribers will get free access to the service until its closure.

In favor of Spotify Connect, Spotify says no to Google Cast

Cult of Android has reported that Spotify’s service will not support Google Cast.

If you haven’t heard of Google Cast, it was released earlier at CES on January 5. Cast essentially is an Apple AirPlay competitor that allows the user to stream audio from apps to Cast-compatible speakers.
