Fast Pair Bluetooth accessories now sync across multiple Android devices

Support for Chromebooks is coming in 2019.

In October 2017, Google unveiled a new Bluetooth feature for Android devices called “Fast Pair.” With a Bluetooth accessory that’s Fast Pair compatible, setup is as easy as turning it on, having it near your Android phone/tablet, and then tapping a notification to instantly get everything paired. Fast Pair is a lot easier than messing with traditional Bluetooth menus, and now it’s getting even better.

Google improving Fast Pair to sync Bluetooth headphones across Android devices

One year after launching Fast Pair to streamline the Bluetooth pairing process, Google announced today that it’s updating the feature.

Google is updating Fast Pair to make it easier for people to connect compatible Bluetooth accessories to Android devices associated with their Google Account. Fast Pair will connect accessories to your current and future phones running Android 6.0 or higher, and Google says that it’s planning to add support for Chromebooks in 2019.
