Telus has announced that it plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars into its wireless networks in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta this year.
As part of its staged infrastructure investment rollout across the country, the company says that by the end of 2016 it plans to cover 99% of Alberta and Ontario, and 98% of British Columbia, with LTE signal.

The Canadian carrier TELUS has announced that it will begin rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the BlackBerry Priv on May 3.
The reveal was posted on the TELUS update schedule, and notes that the Priv will get a security update along with the Marshmallow rollout. According to a new document, it appears as though Telus may be preparing to roll out the Marshmallow update for both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4. The Marshmallow rollout has been a slow one, but we have seen lots of different phones get updated recently.

Telus, Canada’s second-largest wireless provider, has launched Voice Over LTE, or VoLTE, as a pilot in a small area of the British Columbia Lower Mainland before rolling it out to the rest of the country.
Currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4, with other devices to come in the “near future,” according to a support page for the service, Telus notes that there are multiple benefits to using VoLTE:

According to new support documents, Telus is expecting to push the upcoming Android Marshmallow update to both the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 beginning October 5.
