Verizon’s Galaxy S3 — yes, that old salt — is getting an update today. And this update, apparently, gives the phone roaming access on Canada’s Telus network. And … well, that’s it. You’ll be up to Build JSS15J.I535VRUCNC1 with this one. So update at your leisure, if you’re the kind who has to update all the things. (Like some of us around here.)

Preorder the Galaxy S5, Gear 2, Gear Fit now on Telus

Canadian carrier Telus today announced that it’s now putting up for preorder the Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2 smartwatch, and Gear Fit fitness tracker. Telus also has changed up the pricing for its GS5, lowing it by $ 20 to $ 229 on a two-year contract. Outright price remains $ 730.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Following up on some previously leaked release dates for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Rogers, Samsung Canada has brought forth some new info for not only Rogers customers but TELUS customers as well.  As of Jan. 13th — the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available from both Rogers and TELUS ending Bell and Virgin Mobiles exclusivity on the device.

Motokey Social

Apparently unconvinced by that other Facebook phone that such as beast isn’t really desired, Motorola and Canadian carrier TELUS today anonounced the Motokey Social, with a 2.4-inch touchscreen and big black keyboard.
