This week’s sidebar poll: How satisfied are you with your wireless service?

Can you hear me now?

If you have a smartphone, chances are it’s become more of an attachment than just another piece of electronics. You’ll go to the store to grab a loaf of bread without your iPod or your laptop, but I’ll bet you don’t leave the house without your phone in your pocket. I’m not judging — I do the same — I’m just commenting on just how much our phones can become part  [Read More…]

What I’m playing this week: Icebreaker

Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage is a puzzle game that involves slicing through blocks of ice in order to get abandoned vikings to their longboats. Those blocks of ice can be smashed up if they get to the boat after sliding or swinging across the stage, since our hapless hero is there at the ready with an oversized hammer. There are bonus chests scattered around the level full of coins which can be used to unlock new  [Read More…]

This week’s sidebar poll: Do you shop online from your Android?

If the new Google Play services app is any indication, Google wants to make it easier for developers to let you buy goods and services inside their app. Imagine this — an app for ShopAndroid that recognized your device, then let you click and buy accessories using Google Wallet. If things can get there (not quite yet, I imagine) it brings a new level of convenience for customers, and a great way for retailers to get  [Read More…]

After taking its first shot at Chromebooks with education-focused models earlier this year, Lenovo is ready to jump into the general consumer market with the N20 and N20p Chromebooks. As far as specs go, these two laptops are seemingly cut from the same cloth as others on the market.
