T-Mobile customers have been patiently waiting on a release date for the Samsung Galaxy S II while Sprint fans got their version of the device last week and AT&T gets some action on October 2nd. It doesn’t look like they will have to wait much longer because we just got invited to a special reception on September 26th to “celebrate the latest in 4G from T-Mobile.”

AT&T vs. Verizon 4G LTE battle begins this Sunday

AT&T has been advertising “4G” since 2010, but the HSPA+ speeds available on AT&T’s phones were well short of what most would consider to be next generation. Beginning Sunday, September 18, AT&T will introduce a proper 4G network when it powers on LTE in five select markets.

HTC sues Apple again, this time with patents acquired from Google

Last month HTC sued Apple for patent infringement, which was one lawsuit among many in the tech world these days. HTC has now filed another lawsuit, but this time it’s directly related to patents that the Taiwanese manufacturer acquired from Google recently.

HTC received nine patents from Google last year, many of which are now being used in the courts.

Europe getting another Honeycomb tablet, this time from Germany

The IFA show in Berlin has brought a wealth of devices this week, and Germanys own PC maker Medion decided they’d like to get in on the act by launching their own Android tablet. They’ve been quiet secretive about the device with photos apparently banned at their booth at the show.
