T-Mobile announces upcoming Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy Note 8

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has already received the Android 8.0 Oreo update across three of the four major carriers in the United States. T-Mobile has been the odd man out, until today’s announcement.

The carrier has now announced that the Oreo update for the Galaxy Note 8 has been approved. The rollout should begin Sunday. T-Mobile’s product manager Des had to specify that this is not an April Fools’ joke, which is definitely appreciated.

The Un-Carrier’s network will support the standard in Q2 of this year.

Over the last couple years, there’s been a lot of talk about Rich Communication Services — or RCS for short.
