GSM Nexus Prime visits the FCC, bound for AT&T, possibly T-Mobile?

We urged our readers to take rumors that Verizon will get a lasting exclusive on the Nexus Prime with a grain of salt. A recent FCC filing certainly suggests that there will be plenty of Primes to go around.

The phone is identified here as the GT-I9250, but we’ve seen that model number for the Nexus Prime several times now.

The device was cleared on the relevant bands for AT&T and  [Read More…]

T-Mobile Galaxy S II benchmarks redux

T-Mobile Galaxy S II

We recently saw some benchmark numbers for the T-mobile Galaxy S II, and like everything else ever put on the Internet many cried foul.  I hate benchmarks.  They tell me nothing about how a phone acts and feels in real world use; you need to actually use it to determine that.  But since there’s a bit of controversy, allow me to interject a few new pictures.

Hands-on with the T-Mobile Galaxy S II

T-Mobile Galaxy S II

The Fed-Ex man just dropped off something I’ve been itching to get my hands on — the T-Mobile Galaxy S II.  For all intents and purposes, it’s the same Galaxy S II we’ve seen across the rest of the world, with a few extras — a 4.52-inch display, and an HSPA+42 modem.  We have to get down and dirty with it for a bit to know the in’s and out’s,  [Read More…]

The myTouch brand has been an important part of T-Mobile USA’s Android lineup, and it’s traditionally been a name applied to a variety of HTC devices. T-Mobile announced today that LG has taken on the responsibility of building the new myTouch and the myTouch Q.

mytouch devices featured

The myTouch family is growing. T-Mobile has put up the “Coming Soon” pages for two new myTouch devices on the official website (ahead of announcement). And boy, do these look good.

These bad boys are the T-Mobile myTouch (Black) and the T-Mobile myTouch Q (by LG). Sadly, not much is known about the specs for these devices, and much of what is reveled seems doubtful. As of  [Read More…]

T-Mobile and Walmart have announced a new option for those who don’t like to sign the hefty 2 year agreements that come with a new line of phone service. Though this is certainly not the first partnership between T-Mobile and Walmart, the latest offering brings what 60% of Walmart Mobile customers want in a non-contract plan: 4G data speeds.

The plan will cost users $ 30 per month, and the details  [Read More…]

Patent wars: T-Mobile backs Verizon and Samsung in the fight against Apple

It wasn’t even a week ago that US carrier Verizon filed court papers to block Apple’s request to ban certain Samsung devices from the market. In the filing, Verizon has said that banning devices like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Droid Charge, Infuse and Galaxy S 4G would not only hurt the company, but hurt consumer choice and the economy, as well. Today, T-Mobile has stepped up to voice their opinion on  [Read More…]

T-Mobile confirms they will be carrying the Galaxy Tab 10.1

In keeping with today’s trend of tablet related news, T-Mobile has used Twitter to announce that the carrier will indeed be carrying the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

No details on exactly which model will grace Magenta’s shelves have been released. It’s very possible that T-Mobile will release a 4G enabled Tab, but a WiFi-only device simply being sold in stores isn’t unheard of. We’ve been hearing rumors that the Tab will come  [Read More…]
