Just in time for the Galaxy S5 launch, Samsung’s UK ‘Experience’ stores open today

Samsung is opening up some new retail Experience locations across the U.K., similar to what’s launched this time last year at Best Buy locations in North America and existing stores in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, Sweden and Ireland. These locations are opening today and being operated by Carphone Warehouse. There are nine locations total across England.

Sonic CD free on Amazon Appstore today

Want to bring a little 16-bit retro gaming action to your Wednesday? Sonic CD, the time-travelling Sega CD platformer first released on Android in 2011, is available for free today through the Amazon Appstore, down from the regular price of $ 2.99. The game is a faithful recreation of the 1993 original, brought up to date by Christian Whitehead, the developer responsible for recent ports of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. AT&T’s Galaxy Note 3 getting KitKat update today

AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the latest model to receive its Android 4.4 KitKat update, with the OTA now starting to push out to devices. Like previous Note 3 KitKat updates, owners can expect a slightly refreshed UI with white notification bar icons, along with standard Android 4.4 features like immersive mode, album art on the lock screen and wireless printing support. AT&T also says GPS performance should be improved in this latest update.

HTC One (M8) available in the U.S. and U.K. from today

The all-new HTC One (M8) has been officially announced, and we’re now able to bring you details of retail and online availability for the device in the U.S. and U.K. As previously announced, the new HTC One will go on sale at select Carphone Warehouse locations in London from 4 p.m. GMT.
