Sunrise calendar adds dates from Evernote, Tripit, and more

The highly polished calendar app Sunrise has been updated to include plug-ins from a bunch of outside web services. Foursquare, OpenTable and TripIt Glassware added to MyGlass

Google is adding even more travel-focused Glassware to Google Glass, today making Foursquare, OpenTable and TripIt apps available. We’re all likely aware of these three apps, and while it isn’t instantly clear how each one will fit into people’s lives — particularly OpenTable — on something like Glass, it’s great to see Google courting major developers to make apps for Glass.

TripIt for Android gets a major redesign

TripIt — a must-have travel app for anyone who leaves home more than once a year — tonight got a major redesign in its Android application. It’s being touted as a “new card view,” and it is, we suppose, insofar as you swipe left and right between items now instead of scrolling and taping back and forth. That’s not to say it’s not a good update — it is — but visually it feels like some sections got left  [Read More…]

TripIt says Android users don’t travel as often, updates app to make it easier anyway

tripit

TripIt has introduced a new design for its popular Android travel app. The new design makes jumping from one section to another easier, reduces file size, and brings all the information from a traveler’s itinerary into one place. The changes were made to appease TripIt’s younger Android user base.

According to TripIt, Android users don’t fly as often as their iPhone and BlackBerry counterparts. While 21 percent of TripIt Android users jump on  [Read More…]
