Nokia 5 is already picking up the September security update

Nokia is beating every other manufacturer when it comes to monthly security updates.

Nokia said that it will deliver monthly security updates to its phones, and it’s continuing to do just that. The Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 picked up the August security patch a few days after Google rolled out the update, and now the Nokia 5 is picking up the September security update alongside the Pixels.

OxygenOS 4.5.10 update brings camera improvements to the OnePlus 5

OnePlus is steadily improving the camera on the OnePlus 5.

OnePlus is rolling out the OxygenOS 4.5.10 update to the OnePlus 5, introducing several camera improvements along with stability tweaks and bug fixes. The update adds noise reduction when taking photos and 60fps video, and improves the overall stability of the camera. OnePlus also improved call functionality for Jio customers in India, and fixed display issues encountered by a few users when placing a call.

Lenovo says no Android 7.0 update for Phab 2 Pro or other Phab devices

Lenovo recently made a lot of folks happy when it said it’d be ditching its custom Vibe Pure UI for stock Android in future smartphones, but now the company has shared some less than exciting news about some of its previous devices.

Lenovo’s Tango-ready PHAB 2 Pro won’t be picking up the Nougat update

Lenovo is abandoning the PHAB series.

Lenovo partnered with Google to roll out the first consumer-ready Tango phone, the PHAB 2 Pro, late last year for $ 500. The phone launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and it looks like that’s where it’ll stay, as Lenovo’s update tracker page mentions that the phone won’t be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

OnePlus withdraws OxygenOS 4.5.7 update following gaming-related issues

OnePlus is now working on rolling out OxygenOS 4.5.8 ‘ASAP.’

OnePlus rolled out the OxygenOS 4.5.7 update to the OnePlus 5 earlier this week, introducing electronic image stabilization (EIS) when shooting 4K video along with a slew of bug fixes.

Following the update, several users on Reddit and OnePlus’ own forums started noticing a lot of stutter during gaming. OnePlus acknowledged the issue, and has withdrawn the 4.5.7 update.
