HTC 10 update delayed yet again for mainland Europe

European HTC 10 owners are still waiting on their update to Nougat.

Moto Z ringer too low? Latest software update fixes that folly

Verizon’s latest update for the Moto Z and Moto Z Force makes the ringtone louder and adds the latest Android security patches.

Good news for those of you who jumped the gun on the modular smartphone fad. Your Moto Z and Moto Z Force will see software updates from Verizon as soon as they’re seeded.

Nougat update now rolling out to HTC 10 in the UK

Nougat makes its way to European HTC 10 units.

HTC began rolling out the Nougat update to unlocked units of the HTC 10 in the U.S. last November, and the company is now doing the same for UK customers. According to HTC EMEA’s Product and Service Director Graham Wheeler, the Nougat update is now available for HTC 10 users in the UK, and will make its way to other European regions shortly.

Nintendo’s next mobile game lands on Android Feb 2 [update]

OxygenOS 4.0.2 OTA update now rolling out to the OnePlus 3 and 3T

The latest OxygenOS update has bug fixes and stability improvements.

OnePlus delivered the OxygenOS 4.0 update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T on December 31, and has since rolled out a hotfix 4.0.1 update. The company is now issuing the OxygenOS 4.0.2 update to both the OnePlus 3 and 3T with stability improvements and bug fixes, including additional APN settings, and fixes for Play Store downloads and the proximity sensor.

OnePlus confirms Nougat update uses proper kernel, will remove debug tools that caused confusion

After some confusion, OnePlus says there’s nothing to worry about in its kernel.

A few tidbits of information swirled yesterday about the Nougat update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T in regards to what kernel it was using. Looking at logs, some users had found messages indicating that the OxygenOS 4.0.1 build was using a debug kernel in what would otherwise be completely release-level software.
