Supposed ‘list of files’ for Verizon Nexus Prime leaked, bloatware free

A list of the installed apps in the ROM for the Verizon Nexus Prime has been leaked, and they are unsurprisingly bloat free! OK. That’s not surpring since it’s a Nexus device, but surprising because it’s Verizon. Some of us (cough) thought would never happen.

It wasn’t even a week ago that US carrier Verizon filed court papers to block Apple’s request to ban certain Samsung devices from the market. In the filing, Verizon has said that banning devices like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Droid Charge, Infuse and Galaxy S 4G would not only hurt the company, but hurt consumer choice and the economy, as well. Today, T-Mobile has stepped up to voice their opinion on  [Read More…]

Patent wars: Verizon jumps into the fray, siding with Samsung against Apple

Over the weekend, the ongoing patent war between Samsung and Apple took an interesting turn. No new devices have been banned, but a rather unlikely third-party has made their opinion on the situation known. The unlikely third-party is Verizon, and it looks like the carrier may become the voice of reason.

Verizon has filed the necessary paperwork to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California to ask  [Read More…]
