Indy is Verizon’s 4th 5G city, will partner with YouTube TV, too

Verizon workers install 5G radios in Indianapolis — the company’s fourth city announced to receive residential 5G service.

Details are scarce, other than Verizon 5G is coming to Indianapolis.

Verizon today announced that Indianapolis will be its fourth city to receive residential 5G service. And to sweeten the deal, it’s pairing up with Google and Apple for some sort of deal for YouTube TV and Apple TV 4K for subscribers.

Verizon’s Wear24 Android Wear smartwatch is dead after just 4 months

Just 4 months after its initial release, Verizon has already killed its Wear24 smartwatch.

No matter how big of a Google fan you are, we can all admit that Android Wear isn’t in the prettiest of places at the moment. Mainstream releases like the LG Watch Sport and Huawei Watch 2 never truly cultivated much of a following at all, and aside from these two entries, the rest of the space has been essentially dominated by fashion brands.

Using a VPN will reportedly bypass Verizon’s video throttling

NordVPN claims using a VPN will bypass Verizon’s harsh video throttling.

Verizon recently announced it would begin throttling video streams for customers on its unlimited plans. When Verizon’s network detects a stream is coming from a video streaming service such as YouTube or Netflix, the download speeds to the device will be throttled to 10Mbps, forcing the video stream down to a resolution of 480p or 720p, depending on the plan.
