Xiaomi India head receives a well-deserved promotion.
Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain, who joined the Chinese manufacturer in May 2014, has been promoted to vice president. Jain will continue to oversee the company’s Indian operations in his role as managing director. Under Jain’s leadership, Xiaomi hit several milestones, with the company now claiming 30% of the online handset market. The Indian business also crossed $ 1 billion in revenue last year.

HTC has promoted Jason Mackenzie, President of HTC America, to the position of global Executive Vice President. André Lönne will take over as President of HTC America.
HTC says that in his new gig, Mackenzie will report directly to CEO Cher Wang to help launch new partnerships, along with improving relations with current partners. You can check out an interview with Mackenzine that was posted as part of our recent Android History feature.

Samsung continues to reshuffle executives within the company, thanks to a downturn in profits and declining handset sales. Pranav Mistry is the next employee to move seats, with the Indian national appointed as the new global vice president of the South Korean giant. You may recall the name as Mistry played a part in the development and subsequent launch of the Galaxy Gear, the first Android smartwatch from Samsung.
Amazon is launching the Grand Theft Auto trilogy for the Amazon Fire TV and Kindle Fire. Now, customers can play Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on either the streaming set-top box or on their Kindle Fire tablets. As part of a promotion with Amazon Coins promotional credit, Amazon customers can own all three games in the trilogy for the price of just one title.
