The charger normally sells for around $ 45. The price is only good on the black version of the charger, since blue and white are $ 42 or more.

This is Samsung’s 2018 version of  [Read More…]

A second Razer Phone is in the works

Can the Razer Phone 2 make more impact than the original?

Gaming gear go-to Razer makes top-notch gaming gear for desktop and PC, including the hot, hot, hot Razer Blade laptop line and cross-platform controllers, but their initial foray into mobile hardware was a bit rocky. The Razer Phone sported great specs for gaming and a butter-smooth 120hz screen, but the camera fell flat and that super-smooth display was a creature of the night, unable to stand up to  [Read More…]

Koss Porta Pro Wireless headphones review: The retro re-do that mostly works

They’re retro, but that doesn’t make them outdated.

I’ve been wearing the Koss Porta Pros since I was 14. They were the first pair of “audiophile” headphones I could afford after starting to research how to get better sound out of my summer-job paycheck.

Everyone agreed, even way back in 1999, that the Porta Pro headphones were an anomaly, a confluence of retro design and excellent engineering.

Blackberry KEY2 Lite (Luna) might be in the works

BlackBerry’s latest KEY2 smartphone recently went on sale in the US. The device is among the more unique Android phones out there, featuring an improved QWERTY keyboard under the display.

However, not everyone might be willing to spend $ 650 on the device. Especially since the KEY2 packs middle-range specs including a Snapdragon 660 processor.

But if you still fancy the idea of having a phone with a QWERTY keyboard we have some good news for you. According to reliable  [Read More…]

Doubling down on what works [#acpodcast]

We’re back to our regular format with Andrew Martonik, Jerry Hildenbrand, and Daniel Bader at the helm for a detailed look at Android Messages, and efficiency of the hardware keyboard on BlackBerry KEY2.

Next, they tackle blatant “inspiration” the Vivo NEX takes from iOS. But it, along with the OPPO Find X, address customer demand for huge screens and no bezels by incorporating pop-up cameras. In a world of solid-state slabs, this is almost a throwback to the  [Read More…]

Is there a single USB-C headphone adapter that works with all phones?

Part of what we do here is to look at all sorts of accessories you might want to use with your phone. Cases, screen protectors, headphones, you name it and we try to look and recommend a product so you know if you’re getting your money’s worth. Since the 3.5mm headphone jack is fading away (yes, Samsung will do it too, once it’s more affordable) that also means we need to look at USB Type C headphones and  [Read More…]

This is how the pop-up selfie camera works on the Vivo NEX

The Vivo NEX’s front-facing camera is one of the coolest things we’ve seen in years.

Vivo may not be that well-known here in the U.S., but on June 12, the company unveiled what’s easily one of the most interesting phones we’ve seen in 2018. The Vivo NEX is the closest we’ve gotten so far to a truly “bezel-less” smartphone, and to achieve this, Vivo did something awfully unique with the front-facing camera.

Instead of slapping it on  [Read More…]

New and improved.

The Ecovacs Deebot N79S robotic vacuum cleaner is down to $ 179.98 with code FPCIH96U on Amazon. That price is by far the lowest we’ve ever seen this vacuum go and probably won’t last very long.

We have shared deals on the previous generation, the Deebot N79, before. The difference is a pretty big improvement. The N79S adds a Max Power function, which increases the suction by 50% when you need it. It also  [Read More…]
