Fitbit has expanded the sync capabilities of their wearable fitness trackers, and now 44 Android and iOS devices are fully supported. Devices that can wirelessly synchronize with Fitbit products require Bluetooth 4.0 on-board, but in the past even devices with the required hardware we not officially supported, and users were forced to try a reverse-engineering approach to get sync up and running. With today’s news, that should no longer be an issue for folks with recent Android phones.
