Gameloft’s premium HD games typically sell for $ 4.99 to $ 6.99, but Gameloft’s “Trick or Treat Sales” promotion puts Backstab HD, Order & Chaos Online, and Uno – typically costing those premium prices – for only 99 cents. For the price of one US Dollar, you can get a pretty good game. Of course, the promotion is limited until Halloween (October 31, 2011), so you’ll need to decide if either of these apps are worth getting.

Another cause for concern: Gameloft’s games are notoriously device-specific when it comes to compatibility. For example, Modern Combat works perfectly fine on on a G2X but not on a T-Mobile Galaxy S II. Be sure to launch these games immediately after purchasing to ensure that it is able to run on your specific device. Here’s a quick explanation of each game. Click the title to be taken to the Android Market.

BackStab HD – Henry Blake is a man with an axe to grind (figuratively) and it’s up to you use stealth, agility, and swordplay to get the people who stabbed him in the back. The open-ended adventure game lets users take missions, explore worlds, and fight for hours on end.

Order & Chaos – Love World of Warcraft and other MMORPG’s? Well, then you might want to check out what’s advertised as “the only true real-time, full-3D” game of that nature (Not true because PocketLegends also fits that bill very nicely). Either way, this is a game with thousads of players interacting online, fighting as 1 of 4 characters, acquiring skills and equipment, and traveling through many places. While the game is only 99 cents, you’ll have to pay an additional $ 2.99 each 6 months for a continued subscription (3 months free to start).

Uno – Seriously? You need me to explain Uno? This is one of the all-time classic card games everyone knows. Fine, I’ll explain the basics. Four players get a set of cards and the object is to be the first player to not have any cards left. You do this by dropping a card of the same color or number as the one previously played. Wildcards and strategy put up obstacles, but it’s pretty fun. The game support multiplayer to compete against friends on Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, others online, and enter tournaments.
