TAG Heuer announces Connected Modular 41 smartwatch, starts at $1200

The price of luxury ain’t cheap.

Camera maker RED just announced a $1200 phone — the Hydrogen One

Well that’s one way to make an entrance.

RED, best known for its massively powerful cinema-quality cameras, has announced it’s making a smartphone called the “Hydrogen One.” Pre-orders have opened up at $ 1195 each, but that’s a starting price for just the aluminum one — you can spend $ 1595 for a titanium model as well.

LG has announced a limited edition variant of the Watch Urbane smartwatch decked out in 23-karat gold, called Watch Urbane Luxe. Made in collaboration with REEDS Jewelers, the watch is priced at $ 1,200, sports a alligator leather band with a deployment clasp and is housed in an “exclusive piano-gloss lacquer case.”

US Cellular to fire up LTE at more than 1200 sites in 2014

Fifth-place US carrier US Cellular (yes, there is a fifth place behind the all-swallowing big four) plans to dramatically expand their LTE footprint this year by the number of 1200 sites. They’ll be switching on new 4G services in 13 states, and by the end of the year plan to cover 93% of their customers.
