Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 2 added to the list of phones with Stadia support

Until now, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a were the only phones to be compatible with Stadia.

What you need to know Google has added its latest Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 to the list of Stadia supported phones. Along with the latest Pixel 4 series, the Pixel 2 series phones are also now listed as being supported. Google’s Stadia game streaming platform is slated to be released on November 19.

Here are the 65 emoji being added to Android Q

You can try the new emoji today if you have enrolled in the Android Q Beta program.

What you need to know On World Emoji Day, Google has announced that it will be adding 65 new emoji with Android Q later this year. Some of the upcoming emoji include a sloth, an otter, garlic, waffle, and 71 couples with varied skin tones. Google is also supporting 53 emojis with gender-inclusive designs.

Android Q dark theme support (and AMOLED theme) added to Smart Launcher 5

Smart Launcher 5 continues to bring more features to its new 5.2 overhaul for the second month in a row.

VRidge has added better Oculus Go controller support for SteamVR games

A major VRidge update has added extra support for using Oculus Go controllers with SteamVR.

Google ‘inadvertently’ added a government helpline number to contact lists of all Android phones in India

Google apologizes for coding a government agency’s number into all Android phones in India.

Over the course of this week, several Android users in India took to Twitter over the mysterious appearance of a government helpline number on their devices. The number in question is the toll-free helpline (1-800-300-1947) for the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government agency that oversees the Aadhaar biometric identity program.

Amazon Echo’s biggest feature was just quietly added to Google Assistant

Final Android 7.1 Developer Preview build released, Nexus 9 added to Beta Program

The second and final Android 7.1 Developer Preview is here.

Just a couple days over a month since the first Android 7.1 Developer Preview was released, we now have Developer Preview 2 available for Nexus phones and tablets to get a near-final taste of the latest software. Those who have enrolled in the Android Beta Program for their compatible device — which now includes the Nexus 9 — will receive Developer Preview 2 this week via an OTA update.
