What you need to know Alphabet has earned a market capitalization value of $ 1 trillion, according to CNBC. Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon have all hit $ 1 trillion, in that respective order. Analysts predict the next trillion-dollar company will be Facebook.

Google Play Music becomes the default music app on Samsung phones and tablets

Samsung customers will get a three-month trial and ability to upload 100,000 songs to Play Music.

Google has partnered with Samsung to offer Google Play Music as the default music player on the South Korean manufacturer’s phones and tablets, starting with the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which are going on sale in the U.S. starting today. ZTE Axon 7 becomes one of the first non-Google phones to get Android 7.1.1

A nice surprise from a company not known for its speed software updates.

ZTE isn’t the first company you think of when considering fast software updates. (Come to think of it, are there any these days?) After a recent leak, LG has made the G Pad III 10.1 official. The new tablet is decidedly aimed at average users who don’t need extra power or features, though the name packs plenty of extras, with the official moniker being the LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE. The device’s unique feature is its built-in kickstand, allowing users to adjust the angle of the device for various uses.

Lenovo posts strong quarterly results, becomes third largest smartphone vendor in the world

Lenovo announced its earnings figures for the financial year 2014-2015, with the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer boasting increased revenue and sales figures.

In the three months ending March 2015, which Lenovo described as a “seasonally slow quarter with significant currency impacts,” the company made $ 11.3 billion in revenue, a year-over-year increase of 21 percent.
