Google Play Music is set to shut down by the end of the year.

What you need to know There’s now a transfer tool to bring your Google Play Music library to YouTube Music. Google is no longer letting new customers sign up for Play Music Unlimited. Play Music will be completely shut down at some point in 2020.

Is this the beginning of the end for Google Play Music?

It looks like Google may be planning to draw curtains on Play Music very soon.

What you need to know Google has removed the ability to gift Play Music subscriptions with the latest version of the app for Android. You can still gift a Google Play Music subscription using the web version or an older version of the Android app. Google has already confirmed that it plans to eventually replace Play Music with YouTube Music.

BlackBerry finally beginning Priv shipments, offers free case and car charger as a thank you

BlackBerry has sent out an email to those who pre-ordered the Priv from its site notifying customers that the shipments are just now beginning. Normally, pre-orders arrive on the same day as the phone becomes available, but that isn’t the case here.

HTC One M9 on Verizon to receive Android 5.1 update beginning August 20

Verizon will finally begin pushing the Android 5.1 update out for the HTC One M9 beginning on August 20. According to HTC’s Mo Versi, HTC has received approval from Verizon to push the update, which will bring several other fixes in addition to Android 5.1.

Droid Turbo soak test beginning soon — Lollipop incoming?
