The Pixel 4a shows off favorably against the 3 XL and the 3a.

What you need to know Google’s Pixel 4a has been benchmarked against older Pixels, weeks before release. Predictably, the Pixel 4 handily outperforms the Pixel 4a. Just as predictably, the newer phone fares better against the Pixel 3a XL and the 3 XL.

Oppo’s two latest Android phones were cheating on processor benchmarks

The Find X and F7 are the latest Android phones to juke the stats.

The Oppo Find X and F7, two of Oppo’s latest Android phones, have recently been outed for cheating on processor benchmarks with the popular 3DMark benchmark app.

Qualcomm made the switch to the 14nm manufacturing node with the Snapdragon 820, which started rolling out at the beginning of 2016. The company also made the 14nm node accessible to the mid-range segment with the Snapdragon 625, the successor to the Snapdragon 617. OnePlus 5 accused of cheating in benchmarks, Carl Pei responds

XDA accuses OnePlus 5 of manipulating benchmark scores to gain a 5% performance boost.

Earlier this year, the folks at XDA Developers found that the OnePlus 3T and Meizu Pro 6 Plus were cheating at benchmarks, activating a “performance” mode as soon as a bnechmark test was initialized to eke out a favorable score on testing apps like GeekBench.

Xiaomi Mi 6 benchmarks: Putting the Snapdragon 835 to the test

It’s time to see how the Xiaomi Mi 6 holds up in benchmarks.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is one of the first phones to be powered by the Snapdragon 835. Galaxy S8 benchmarks show Exynos 8895 outpacing the Snapdragon 835

Samsung’s Exynos version of its Galaxy S8 appears to outperform Qualcomm’s in GeekBench.

Adding to the pile of Samsung Galaxy S8 rumors that are stacking up as high as the Leaning Tower of Pisa is this GeekBench discovery.
