Google Chat can now be used for people outside of your domain.

Microsoft Teams maximum group chat size to increase this month

Group chats in Microsoft Teams can more than double in size, thanks to an update rolling out this month.

Google’s RCS-powered Chat comes to Italy and Singapore

Google promised to bring RCS to more regions in 2020 after a limited release in 2019.

What you need to know RCS is a set of standards that makes SMS a contender in an age of instant messaging. Google rolled out its implementation of the standard in 2019 to the U.S., UK, Mexico, and France. Now reports indicate it’s testing it out in Italy and Singapore as well.

Google Chat is back after a decade as Hangouts Chat drops the Hangouts

Hangouts Meet met the same fate yesterday.

What you need to know Google is renaming Hangouts Chat as Google Chat. The change comes after the company similarly dropped the Hangouts from Hangouts Meet. The consumer-oriented Hangouts app will keep its name, however, so the Hangouts brand isn’t quite dead yet.
