Samsung’s new Exynos 850 raises the bar for budget-focused mobile chipsets

Samsung will fabricate Qualcomm’s next 5G chipsets

But it won’t be the only foundry making Qualcomm’s newest modem.

What you need to know Sources tell Reuters Samsung has won Qualcomm business to produce the next-gen X60 modem. Samsung will manufacture the chipset on its 5-nanometer process foundry.

MediaTek announces Helio G70 and G80 chipsets for affordable gaming phones

They will soon appear in budget gaming phones in the Indian market.

What you need to know MediaTek has announced two new mid-range gaming-focused mobile chipsets – Helio G70 and Helio G80. Both new chipsets are built on a 12nm process and come with an ARM Mali-G52 class GPU running at up to 950 MHz. They use a pair of ARM Cortex-A75 CPUs, along with six Cortex-A55 cores.

Qualcomm’s upcoming 5G-enabled Snapdragon chipsets will be built on Samsung’s 7nm node

Qualcomm is ready to make the switch to 7nm with Samsung’s help.

Qualcomm detailed its 5G plans late last year with the introduction of the X50, its first 5G-enabled modem for smartphones. The company has now announced that it is partnering with Samsung over its next-generation Snapdragon chipsets with 5G capabilities.
