U.S. may delay Huawei trade ban for another six months

An extension will make it possible for U.S. companies to do “some transactions” with Huawei.

What you need to know As per a new report, the Commerce Department may soon grant a six-month reprieve that will allow U.S. firms to do business with Huawei. The current temporary general license, which was granted in August, is set to expire on November 18. U.S. firms are expected to receive licenses to trade with Huawei “very shortly.”

Essential Phone is coming ‘in a few weeks’ after certification delay

Samsung may delay the Galaxy S8 until April

We may have to wait longer than usual for the Galaxy S8.

OnePlus 3 update resumes after minor delay

After a minor incident with the initial rollout of its first major over-the-air update, OnePlus has resumed the OxygenOS firmware for the OnePlus 3. The company noted that some people were having installation issues with OxygenOS 3.2.0, which was released on Tuesday, so it ceased the distribution in order to make the requisite fixes.

AT&T seeks to delay Google Fiber in Louisville, Kentucky with lawsuit

Louisville, Kentucky, which is one of the cities that is currently under consideration to get the Google Fiber 1Gbps Internet service, is now facing a lawsuit from a competitor, AT&T. The company claims that Louisville’s city government exceeded its authority in changing laws that could make it easier for Google Fiber to be deployed.
