Huawei can sell its 5G wares in the country, rules German goverment

The country will not be banning any 5G equipment vendors.

What you need to know Germany’s Interior Ministry has ruled that it will not ban Huawei from providing 5G equipment to telecom operators in the country. The U.S. government has previously stated that the company’s Chinese origins could represent a national security risk to countries that employ its equipment in their networking infrastructure. Nokia sells HERE to German carmakers for $3 billion

Nokia has announced that it has sold its mapping business HERE to German car consortium comprising of Audi, BMW and Daimler for 2.8 billion Euro ($ 3 billion). The Finnish company was looking to sell HERE to focus on the integration of Alcatel-Lucent, which it acquired for $ 16.6 billion earlier this year.

German court rejects Apple bid to ban sales of Galaxy Tab 10.1N, Galaxy Nexus

The Munich Regional Court in Germany has rejected Apple’s latest attempt to block sales of two Android-powered Samsung devices, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1N and Galaxy Nexus.

German court rules in favor of Motorola Mobility against Apple in patent suit


The Mannheim Regional Court ruled in favor of Motorola Mobility against Apple today in an ongoing patent suit. The same German court ruled also ruled against Apple last month, but today’s decision is much more significant.

The patent in question is EP1010336, which is:

“method for performing a countdown function during a mobile-originated transfer for a packet radio system”.
