HTC handset ban in Germany imminent as HTC withdraws IPCom patent injunction appeal

Samsung to file injunction to block sales of Apple’s iPhone 4S in Italy and France


Less than 24 hours after Apple introduced the new iPhone 4S, Samsung has announced that they plan to file injunctions in Italy and France in hopes of blocking sales of the new iPhone in those countries. Samsung claims that the new iPhone 4S infringes on two of its wireless communications patents that focus on Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) 3G technologies.

Samsung says it’ll be more aggressive against Apple, starts by seeking an injunction in the Netherlands


Another day, another tit for tat in the ongoing patent wars between Samsung and Apple. Apple vs. Samsung IP Smackdown: Court Grants EU Galaxy Injunction

It looks like Apple may have won round two in the global fight against Samsung in the tablet turf wars.

German news agency DPA just reported that Apple has been granted a preliminary injunction against Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Distribution of what Apple called a copycat computer is now verboten in the entire European Union-27 (except for the Netherlands, which may have its own suit) Fosspatents says.
