LG’s next ‘premium’ mid-ranger will reportedly feature a rotating screen

It could be powered by a Snapdragon 765 chipset, just like the LG Velvet.

LG’s Q1 2020 net profit jumps 21.1% YoY, despite weak smartphone sales

The company’s smartphone sales decreased by 34% in the first quarter of the year.

What you need to know LG’s operating profit increased to KRW 1.09 trillion ($ 921.47 million) in Q1 2020. The company’s 7.4 percent operating margin during the quarter was the highest in its history for a first quarter. Consolidated revenue, however, declined slightly compared to the same period a year earlier.

LG’s struggling mobile division lost over $850 million in 2019

Record sales of home appliances last year helped LG achieve its highest annual revenue in history.

The V50, LG’s first 5G phone, is launching in South Korea on May 10

It’ll set you back a hefty $ 1,035 USD.

After some delays, LG is set to launch its first 5G phone, the LG V50, on May 10 in its home country of South Korea. The V50 will be available on three domestic carriers and is priced at 1,199,000 won or about $ 1,035 USD. That makes it 200,000 won (or $ 173 USD) cheaper than the Galaxy S10 5G.
