MediaTek announces Helio G70 and G80 chipsets for affordable gaming phones

They will soon appear in budget gaming phones in the Indian market.

What you need to know MediaTek has announced two new mid-range gaming-focused mobile chipsets – Helio G70 and Helio G80. Both new chipsets are built on a 12nm process and come with an ARM Mali-G52 class GPU running at up to 950 MHz. They use a pair of ARM Cortex-A75 CPUs, along with six Cortex-A55 cores.

MediaTek launches the Helio G70 to power more affordable gaming phones

A powerful processor that won’t break the bank.

What you need to know MediaTek has announced the Helio G70 and G70T gaming-focused chipsets for entry-level phones. The G70 series is a slightly underclocked version of MediaTek’s flagship G90 gaming processor. Besides the slower clock speeds, the G70 series also limits the display to 1080p, lacks support for faster UFS storage, and is restricted to 48MP cameras or dual 16MP rear-cameras.
