A few days back a leaked T-Mobile USA inventory screen seemed to suggest several of the carrier’s mid to high-end Android phones would soon be reaching end-of-life (EOL) status. T-Mobile USA may be preparing to wrap up sales of a handful of its mid to high-end Android devices, if a leaked internal screenshot is to be believed. Having been previously announced as arriving ‘in time for the holidays’, T-Mobile has now given more firm dates for the T-Mobile myTouch and myTouch Q availablity. HTC releases kernel source for myTouch 4G Slide, Desire Gingerbread, and Raider 4G

HTC has (finally) released the GPL kernel source for the myTouch 4G Slide, and they have tossed in the Gingerbread update kernel source for the Desire, and the code for the Raider 4G (Korea) kernel.  It’s a case of better late than never, and I know more than a few developers have been waiting for that Doubleshot kernel source code.  Let the CM7 games begin.

The myTouch family is growing. T-Mobile has put up the “Coming Soon” pages for two new myTouch devices on the official website (ahead of announcement). And boy, do these look good.

Here’s the First Look at the ‘T-Mobile myTouch by LG’
