The company is making this move as a sign of solidarity.

The aftermarket vehicle data/tracking service Automatic is shutting down

And rebates are being offered.

Automatic — which uses a cellular-connected device plugged into your car’s OBD-II port to provide diagnostic, tracking and analytics data — is shutting down. The company sent out an email to users today noting that the COVID-19 pandemic is the cause, and that means the end of “the Automatic connected car product, service, and platform.”

The service will shut down at midnight Pacific time on May 28.

The Essential phone was never really essential for consumers.

Sony is shutting down UK-based first-party team Manchester Studio

Not much was known about this PlayStation VR-focused studio and now it is being closed.

What you need to know In 2015, Sony quietly announced North West Studio (later named Manchester Studio). This team was being built to focus on the development of PlayStation VR titles. Sony confirmed today that Manchester Studio was being closed. Media Molecule and London Studio are the only remaining UK studios in Sony Worldwide Studios.

Sprint’s Virgin Mobile prepaid brand is shutting down next month

The Virgin Mobile brand in other countries will remain unaffected.

What you need to know Sprint has confirmed that it is shutting down the Virgin Mobile brand in the U.S. Virgin Mobile customers will be migrated over to Boost Mobile. The transition is expected to be fairly smooth, since both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile use the same network.

Battleborn’s servers are shutting down in January 2021

Genre-busting heroes have died.

What you need to know Battleborn is a 2016 first-person hero shooter developed by Gearbox Software. Today, Gearbox announced that the game has been pulled from online storefronts. Gearbox is disabling microtransaction purchases on February 24, 2020. The game’s servers will be taken offline in January 2021 and it will then be completely unplayable.
