T-Mobile’s 5G network just got way faster in NYC

T-Mobile is using Sprint’s 5G spectrum to improve its 5G network in New York.

What you need to know T-Mobile customers with a Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra are getting better speeds in New York. The goal is to deliver high speeds in dense areas and maintain coverage in suburban areas. The “layer cake” includes T-Mobile’s low-band and mmWave 5G surrounding Sprint’s mid-band.

T-Mobile’s OnePlus 6T is getting updated to Android 10

The update for the OnePlus 6T initially began in November for unlocked models but was recalled once bugs were discovered.

What you need to know T-Mobile has started rolling out the Android 10 update for OnePlus 6T users. The release comes two months after OnePlus began rolling out its own update. The new update is also bundled with the December 2019 security patch.

You can also mimic dual-SIM functionality by using a physical SIM card at the same time.

T-Mobile’s TV service is being pushed back to 2019

T-Mobile needs additional time to make the service “more groundbreaking.”

Over a year ago, T-Mobile announced plans to launch its own television service to compete with the likes of Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and other internet-provided TV platforms. All carrier variants of the Galaxy Note 8 in the U.S. have made the switch to Oreo.

T-Mobile’s variant of the Galaxy Note 8 is starting to receive the stable Android 8.0 Oreo update. AT&T was the first to roll out the update last month, and Verizon and Sprint followed suit last week.
