Samsung SoundAssistant app brings a vertical volume slider to Galaxy phones

The new SoundAssistant feature is only compatible with devices running Samsung’s latest One UI 2.0.

What you need to know Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners can now enable a vertical volume slider with the latest version of Samsung’s SoundAssistant app. The option is currently available only on Galaxy phones running Android 10-based One UI 2.0. Google had introduced vertical volume controls with Android 9 Pie in 2018.

T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 edge updates fix power and volume button bugs

T-Mobile is rolling out updates for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Both updates fix an issue with the phones’ power and volume buttons, along with some other “system improvements”.

According to a new accessory listing, the LG G5 may move the power and volume buttons from the back of the phone to the side of it.
